I have increasingly been asked about vegan cake options over the last year or so, which I guess should come as no surprise with our population turning more towards plant based products and sustaining our world’s resources. So I want to share with you a few of my tried and tested vegan options.
A long standing recipe which at least one customer buys from me repeatedly is my vegan chocolate fudge cake. Click on the link to read more about this delicious cake.
This cake is a very light, delicate sponge with a rich, fudgy icing. The sponge is made using sunflower oil instead of eggs, and a dairy free margarine creates the base for the chocolate icing.
Vegan Fresh Lemon Sponge
This zesty little number has been a huge hit with fresh lemon zest and juice to give it a delicious citrus punch.
I also offer vegan welshcakes and vegan chocolate brownies. Unfortunately I don’t have photos of the brownies yet, but as soon as I make my next batch I will add one. Both of these products are popular with my vegan customers.
